~DON'T FORGET THE DREAM~

Hellooooooooo everyone, HOW ARE YOU?! Its been a minute since I've made a post and I pray to start blogging more soon. I'm doing well, and I know the next season of my life is about to unfold so I'm preparing for it. I ask that you guys keep me in your prayers and I will certainly do the same. Its been a bit of a struggle for me lately, but God still gets the glory from my life! I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr in hopes that it will encourage someone. This was taken from my facebook group, The SHE |in| ME  :

That is one of my FAVORITE quotes by the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ladies, it simplifies things so much because you DON'T have to be what "society/man" deems to be this or that in order to be great & do amazing things. Degrees and titles are all "man made" and at the end of the day, JESUS has the last say! Don't feel as if you have to have a doctoral degree, work at an office job, speak grammatically correct with eloquence ALL of the time, have a two story house, and the best car around. Many people have all of that with fancy titles and expensive material things only to be broke, stressed out, lonely, and unhappy behind closed doors. So if you can, make your situations better but don't feel as if you're nothing or no one if you don't have the "best of the best".

God loves you and wants your HEART & SOUL to be right so that you too can feel & recognize the greatness inside of you. You ARE somebody & when people say that you must have this or must have that, just tell them all you need is JESUS because he & only he has the last & final say over your life. Be faithful, and watch him work!!!! Don't forget the dream.....

MY PRAYER FOR YOU THIS DAY IS THAT WHATEVER DREAMS YOU HAVE FOR YOURSELF WILL SOON BECOME REALITIES IN THE NAME OF JESUS! DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS, DON'T GIVE UP ON YOURSELF, AND PLEASE NEVER GIVE UP ON GOD BECAUSE HE CERTAINLY WON'T GIVE UP ON YOU! KEEP FIGHTING & OBEY GOD!!!!! NEVER FORGET YOUR DREAM.....

Its amazing how God has connected me to such wonderful individuals via the internet at whom I've never met before! That's one way of knowing that HE still has a plan for your life. You know its God when you can share his goodness through comments and posts and feel as if you've been in the company of sanctified, holy-ghost filled people at church when you really haven't, lol! I will be featuring more blogs, websites, video channels, etc. individually on my blog periodically, and one that I wanted to start with is WOMAN TO ANOTHER, a website geared towards encouraging women everywhere with the love of Jesus, all the while providing recipes and modest fashions for the girly girls in us, lol! I absolutely LOVE this site and it has truly blessed me. Not only is it awesome, but the administrator, Nikell, is the epitome of a lady of class and elegance. She has supported my blog by commenting on the majority of my posts since she found it, and that means so much to me. I'm a big supporter of those who are trying to help build the Kingdom of God. Though I'm not as active on hers as she is mine, lol, I at least wanted to share her vision with the world! Nikell, I truly appreciate you and pray nothing but God's richest blessings over you and your husband. Keep doing what you do lady!

Just GUESS who rocks??.......*I DO* (selfish post)

The Lord works in mysterious ways. I was supposed to be in bed almost 2 hours ago (its going on 2 a.m.), lol, but decided I had a FEW more pages to view (*slaps self on the hand*). While viewing another page via the internet and catching up on responding to a few beautiful comments, I suddenly smiled. At this point, I know you may be like....at what or why? But the answer was so refreshing & peaceful. Check this out....I *smiled* because God told me to tell MYSELF how PROUD I was of me! I spend alot of time, energy, and effort telling people how proud I am of them, encouraging them, speaking LIFE into them, and motivating them to want better for themselves, yet I rarely give myself a *high five* and Kuddos on a job well done!

I often don't like to do that simply because I prefer to stay humble. I don't ever want to come across as "braggadocious" or arrogant because I am far from that. I mainly think of others before myself, but this year God wants me to focus a bit more on *me*. While it is important to do for others and continue to lift my brothers and sisters up, it is equally, if not MORE important to make sure that "I" am well spiritually, mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally. If I'm no good to myself, then I can't be all that I desire to be for others. I don't take enough time to tell myself that I ROCK. If you don't mind, *takes the mic* I'm going to spit a few verses about MYSELF.....lol! Yo' baby- yo' baby-yooooo.....hahahaha....{kidding}.

Okay, for real doe', I will take this time to tell --->ME<--- how PROUD I am. It feels a bit funny, but here goes (lol):

Shenina, I am very proud of you "boo" (one of my favorite nicknames for others & myself)! You have accomplished alot in the 27 years that you've been living. Not only have you made your family & genuine friends proud, but you've made God proud as well. Though it gets rough sometimes, you've never given up. You may fall, but you dust yourself off and keep going, so for that....YOU GO GIRL! Its not easy, but you are truly on your way towards storing up even more riches in heaven. Keep being the person that you are. No, you don't understand everything that goes on all of the time, but you must remain focused on God and the plans of prosperity and goodness that HE and only HE has in store for you! You've done an awesome job, and the best is yet to come. Continue following the Lord's path, allowing him to be the head, and all else will fall right into place. You haven't seen your greatest days yet! You're the BOMB! You're the ray of sunshine that compliments a beautiful day! You ARE that "it" factor girrrrrl! Stay humble. Stay hungry for God. Stay thirsty for RIGHteousness! You ROCK..........*sways from side to side, lol!*

There is NOTHING wrong with giving yourself a bit of "shine" sometimes! We have to learn to love ourselves inspite of, and with that comes the RIGHT to give yourself a pat on the back. If you don't, then no one else will. Tell yourself that you ROCK sometimes....because you DO! We must start giving ourselves more credit in the most humble way possible. Let God lead the way and if you remain in him, he'll see to it that you're rewarded for your hard work! Go ahead & love on yourself.......you have permission :-)

LOL! I am such a mess., but I ROCK though & nothing/no one will change that! Thank you Jesus! Its all HIM! DEUCES!!!!

I've officially been blogging for ONE full year! In the past, I haven't been good at sticking with things and finishing them, but I truly thank God that I was able to at least complete one year of faithful blogging (To GOD be the Glory!!!!). Though I didn't post as much as I would have liked to, I'm still grateful for the opportunity to share my life, encouragement, and love with you all. I appreciate those that continue to take the time out to read & take heed to what I/God has to say! I am very proud of myself *pats self on the back*, and excited for what's in store! Check out my very first blog post HERE. My have we grown, lol! God is good and I'll FOREVER praise & worship his holy, magnificent, powerful, awesome, amazing name!
