I DO NOT "feel" like doing right....Ugh!
I've always been looked upon and considered to be the "nice girl", the "girl who will always make peace", the "girl who wants everyone to get along", the "girl who wants to fix relationships", the "girl who is the BIGGER person"......at which is true & I do pride myself on, but continuously doing & being those things sometimes gets the best of me because some people don't give a rat's behind about you. Even as I type this, I feel much better (THANK YOU LORD!) because I know that greater is my reward in the end for being obedient & faithful.
So if you've ever felt as if the right things you were doing aren't worth it, then please think again. While things may "appear" to be bad, they really aren't. Its all in how you view things. The enemy's plan is to come steal, kill, and destroy us all by any means necessary, but God has come that we might have LIFE and have it more abundantly! Don't allow satan and any of his employees throw you off track. While it is easy to fall into the hands of the enemy, its even easier to stay committed to God, especially when you know you're striving to hear him say, WELL DONE MY GOOD & FAITHFUL SERVANT! Regardless of how we feel, we must continue to do the right thing by people, even if they don't do us the same. Now check this out, it does NOT mean that you are a wimp or a punk, it only means that you're OBEDIENT! Though Jesus is the ultimate example of how we should model our lives after, he was not a pushover either! He did get folks told though, lol (I just love his sense of humor!).
Hang in there & don't give up. Live for God & seek after righteousness, regardless of what "they" do, say, or think about you. It may seem as if the wicked are prospering, but they are only setting their souls up to burn in hell if they don't repent in time (that's another post, lol). But seriously, you are entitled to a few "I don't feel like doing right" days as a Christian....BUT....that does not mean that you act upon those feelings. There is a difference. When you start feeling that way, pray & ask God to give you peace & power to overcome those feelings. I know it gets rough out here, but I promise you that if we keep our minds focused on Jesus, he will reward our righteous actions in due time. He never said it would be easy.....only worth it!

OMG i think you've been a fly on the wall of my life!!! i have been (well God has been) working on me so much lately... the way i treat people and the way i talk to folks. He told me that i cant run from issues---i must address them. ex: i had been praying for a new job for the longest, but He said that i have to learn to deal with the people and issues on my current job before i can move forward.
ReplyDeleteworking for the military has presented a lot of challenges, and has challenged me to grow up, shut up sometimes, and just be obedient... period point blank! lol
nah He never said it would be easy, but the easy thing to do (cursing folks out, giving em a piece of my mind, etc) wont yield the results im expecting. i said all that to say this: a lot of the times, i dont FEEL like doing/saying the right thing, but i know that if i do, it will pay off in the long run.
anyway, i truly appreciate your honesty and the light u shed on this subject, showing us how these "feelings" happen to everyone, but if we just remain steadfast and obedient to the word and will of God, we will receive our reward and reap if we faint not!
love ya kiddo, and my bad for being so long winded lol
~kete
Girl, you never have to apologize! You know I'm long winded the majority of the time, but only because I can't hold it all in. But yes ma'am, you are certainly right. If I treated people how they treated me, I would certainly be the witch off of every Disney movie, lol!!! BUUUUT, I press on doing what I know is right regardless of how it "appears" to be at the time. At the end of the day, my destination is HEAVEN. Hang in there!
