DANG girl, why -you- write so much????

Don't let what others say/think  keep you from expressing yourself!
Lol! I bet alot of people have secretly asked themselves that about me and/or have discussed it publicly amongst themselves & others! Some people have even told me themselves that I "write too much" or my facebook statuses are "too long". Yep, I've had people to *hint* at it before, and I used to really get offended because those were MY words that I wanted to use to help those who desired to hear them (which is one, of many, reasons I decided to start blogging). I know that alot of people only read half of what I & others have to say because they don't feel like reading a "book" so to say, lol! But as I allowed God to speak to me today concerning that, I had to even ask myself...."Shenina, why DO you write alot?" And God revealed to me just as plain as day that part of my *POWER* lies in my words! Wooooo Jesus! Umph....if that wasn't tough, I don't know what was....lol! It makes sense to me now. Writing is a form of expression. The older I get, the more I see that I'd rather write than talk. It doesn't mean that I'm a mean person, it just means that I'm finding "who I am" even more & what I like and do not like to do. I'm not the best writer, but when the spirit of the Lord is on me, its just on me, lol! No love lost, much respect gained!

Many of us, including me, have missed the opportunity to be blessed spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, and even financially because we DON'T want to read! I've had three FREE giveaways that I know of where you only had to READ in order to participate. Nothing major, and it didn't cost you a thing. Well, each and everytime I did it, only one maybe two or three people responded, and that was fine. But I'm sure many others would have loved to be blessed if only they had just READ to the end! I too am guilty of this and sometimes will only read half of what I see, but I'm trying to do better, especially if I want others to do the same to me! Just imagine how God feels. We get right to the end of our breakthroughs (blessings) but we give up prematurely because we don't "feel" like continuing on! Hmph...hmph...hmph, shame on us!

Some inquiring minds wanted to know, so I hope this helps, lol. I know that many people will never admit that, but the truth shall set you FREE! Even as to facebook & this blog, it is a *personal* account and means to express myself, just as you have the opportunity to do so as well. Don't knock someone down just because they are expressing themselves. When you publicly post something, you want people to be interested in what you have to say as well, so do unto others as you'd have them do unto you. Some people are wordy (I know I am, and I'm trying to cut it back just a bit, lol!), and some people don't have much to say YET regardless of what type of writer or thought expresser you are, both carries alot of weight.YOU have the choice whether to read what someone posts or not. I've gotten looked over and skipped over plenty of times, but I'd rather that happen then for people who don't care anything for me read what God has given me!
It is what it is ya' know?  Don't want to stick around? Then KICK ROCKS!

So keep kicking! Lol! I've always heard that if you don't want someone to know something, put it in in a book....and that is so true to some extent because we as a people overall don't like to read. I'm breaking out of that habit now because my breakthrough & even my blessings could very well lie in what a person has to say! If you don't like what someone says, then you do have the option to unfriend/unsubscribe to them on facebook, unfollow them on twitter/blogger, and more. But just remember, you reap what you sow and though one may see your words as meaningless, someone, somewhere out there in the world may see them as meaningFUL!! I truly thank those that have stuck it out with me. I have yet to get around to everyone like I want to, but please be patient because I value your words just as much as you do mine! I may not say it everyday, but I truly do and I'm so appreciative! God bless & love ya' regardless! HAPPY READING everyone.....lol!

  1. Lol...that title made me laugh. But this post is really true. God had dealt with me on reading as well. I often look at my husband in amazement b/c he knows so much and he runs our businesses so smoothly. It's all self taught too. But, he reads and does a lot of research. He spends time reading the boring stuff. When I started sewing, I realized that in order to become good at what I wanted to do, I had to read, and read, and read some more.
When I first started my blog, my posts were almost 1000 words sometimes. My husband suggested to me that I break them down into parts and publish 1 post over the course of 2 or 3 days. It has really helped take the load off of posting since I post everyday. I can write two or three posts per week and have fresh content everyday. If God is leading you to write more, by all means obey the Lord. But maybe doing that will help you as it has helped me (just a suggestion ^_^). I'll be around to read your posts whether they're long or short.
BTW...I'm going to do that tag today so I'll post the link on the other post when I get it done.

  2. LOL! You are something serious! This message was like whoaaaaa...... I have to read it again and take notes. LOL! But I enjoy seeing you do you and I'm sure that Our Father is very well pleased. God is always original in His creations, It's vibrant and full of power, it sparks you to get up and move. I think that your expression does just that. Writing use to be a desire of mine but I think I went to lunch when God was passing out that gift. LOL! But I just LOVE to read your testimonies, blogs, statuses.... they are very inspirational and a boost to all that read (even when they don't leave a note.....smh). So, Dr. Brown, like I said before, I can't wait until I stand in line to get my autograph copy of your "BESTSELLING" book. These are only steps to the greater you.

  4. @Nikell: LOL! Well I'm so glad that you too are being obedient & allowing God to work though you. Reading a bit more is on my to-do list for 2012 and beyond because I truly believe that there is freedom in words! Keep allowing his spirit to move through you as well sis. I'm going to take a look at the link in just a few! Can't wait :-)

@Anonymous: Lol! Woooo Jesus, I receive anything that is in his will for me to have, lol! It is all him, and none of me. He has been too good, and I used my posts and life stories to not only help others, but me as well. This thing called life is something serious, but I thank God that everyday is a blessing & holds purpose! I thank you so much for your beautiful words and I will continue to be obedient. Though I want to give up the ghost sometimes, lol, I dare not leave God because without him, I'm nothing!!!!!!! God bless you!

@Kete: Lol! Hunn-ay, you already know. I KNOWWWW I can get a little wordy & lengthy sometimes, but when God is at work, I can't narrow it down ya' know?? And noo nooo nooooo sis, keep writing. If they want to read they will. You don't want anyone reading & they can't do anything with what you wrote anyways. One person is all it takes to change the world. Now wouldn't it be something if that one person only needed a word from you or I, or anyone else for that matter, and then was granted favor to find the cure for AIDS or something like that??? Lol! That's just how powerful words can be! And tell your mom that I "got her"! That is such a blessing to hear. Thank you again for being one of my first customers. I've grown so much since then.....lol!
